It's opening day!

Time for another year in the most screwed up of all the professional sports.  Major league baseball  - or - should we call it the sport of the have's and the have not's returns.  Tomorrow we are going up to the Trop to see the local boys, the Tampa Bay Rays take on the bullies from Boston.  Yes, the Red Sox open their season here in sunny Florida.  A quick look at payrolls for the two franchises (from Spotrac.com):

Wow - that seems fair.

Oh well, I'll complain more about payroll disparity later in the season but for today I'll just make some haphazard and random picks for the coming season.

We're back
